Trap Neuter Vaccinate Release.

 


On 18th of September 2020, at 10 a.m, an inauguration ceremony cum siminar was held by District Government, in collaboration with Voice for the voiceless, Give us life Animal Welfare, SPCA and Brooke Pakistan to launch TNVR campaign that is an alternative of dog culling and a humane method to control Dog population and Rabies . AC City Lahore Tabraiz Marri showed his full support and attented the event as a cheif guest.


It was a pilot project campaign for vaccinating, spaying and neutering dogs. Ten dogs were caught and vaccinated during the event . Dogs will be neutered/spayed afterwards and will be released back to their natural environment. Neutered and Vaccinated dogs never become a nuisance for the society as they get docile and free from rabies after vaccination and surgery. It was a collaborative effort of government, Voice for the Voiceless and some other animal welfare related N.G.O’s including Give Us Life Animal Welfare-Reg and SPCA.

Ayeza Haider, while giving a speech in the seminar , said that the current Animal Welfare law needs utter amendments because in the current situation it is impossible to implement vague laws. 

Other than AC City Tabraiz Mari the ceremony was attended by, the honorary secretary Dr. Farhat Nazir Awan who provided her SPCA shelter for fostering, surgeries and post care . Give Us Life Animal Welfare and Voice for the Voiceless played an important role in the grand animal welfare related awareness activity at Shadrah. Brochures and flyers were distributed among people of Shahdrah and door to door awareness campaign also took place with the help of volunteers and SPCA staff .


Aniza Khan Managing Director Give Us Life Animal Welfare - Reg showed her gratitude toward district administration Punjab  and MPA Ayesha Iqbal for being a full support system towards the cause.


Brooke Pakistan provided their treatment area in Shahdara to put up the Awareness camp and SA gardens provided a lorry attached to a tractor immaculately decorated with flex banners on all sides to present the cause of animal welfare that was further enhanced by Voice for the Voiceless and Give Us Life Animal Welfare -Reg with banners having the introduction of TNVR campaign and to stop dog culling in Pakistan.


The concept of animal welfare is still alien for common masses in Pakistan. It will take time for them to digest new concepts adopted from the civilised nations. In the country like Pakistan where conventionalism and radicalism exist, the introduction of a modern, humane and sustainable method of saving the eco system, animals and humans at the time is a great achievement .

    Very well written article that covers all the aspects of this TNVR campaign which is the best solution to the stray dog population all over the world. This article will help spread awareness in the educated class of the society who unfortunately is almost as ignorant of this issue as the uneducated one. I hope everyone join hands and takes this nobel mission forward.

GOD has created all the creatures on purpose. Dogs are best for security, donkeys for carrying a load, horses for a swift ride and all the other animals have some characteristics which make them worthwhile in human life. Animals spend their lives being a means of business for humans profiting them lucratively. The purpose of their life is just to stay within the bounds of their owner's set domain for them. They know no outer world where they can share their grief with their companions if they have any.
