Political and economic crisis
The political polarisation is primarily between the two major political parties, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI). The two parties have been at loggerheads for years, accusing each other of corruption and malfeasance. This has resulted in a breakdown of dialogue and cooperation between the parties, further fuelling the country’s unrest.
Moreover, the country’s economy has been struggling for years, with high inflation, low growth and high unemployment rates. The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated economic challenges in the country, with businesses closing and rising unemployment.
The combination of political polarisation and economic instability has created turbulence in Pakistan. The unrest and violence in the country have made it difficult for businesses to operate, which has further weakened the economy. The government has been struggling to find a solution to these problems, with many experts calling for a more collaborative approach between the political parties.
In conclusion, Pakistan has had to face major challenges due to political and economic instability. The government must take urgent action to address these problems before they spiral out of control. A collaborative approach between and among political parties is necessary to find a lasting solution to these challenges and ensure stability in the country.
